Two weeks before her fifth birthday, Lila said that she wanted to sing a song. They decided on "You Are My Sunshine", but right before Lila was about to go sing, she panicked and hid in the bathroom. Lila's mom came to the bathroom door asking Lila to come out. After much back-and-forth arguing, Lila's mother finally asked "Lila, what do I have to do to get you to come out and sing?" Well, there just happened to be a new Barbie that Lila wanted, so she struck a deal with her mom. Her mom got her to sing, Lila got her Barbie! Lila on her first song Lila did not like "Down Came A Blackbird" when she first heard it. She thought the song was weird, and her friends made fun of it. It wasn't until she recorded the song that she became "attached at the hip to it." "It's one of those songs that you either really love or really hate!" says Lila. Fan Club Page Fan Club Announcements And News Lila's second album, "Something In The Air", is due out on Tuesday March 23. On the album, Lila recorded a song co-written by Steve Wariner and Lila's labelmate Bryan White called "You're Gone." Both men also added their background vocals to the song, as did surprise guest Vince Gill. Vince also did more background vocals on another song called "Kiss Me Now." Lila had a new photo shoot (without braces) for the new album cover. As soon as possible, the Fan Club will select one or two pictures to sell exclusively to Fan Club members. When they arrive, they will sell for $4.00 each. The old ones are still available and are also $4.00 each. Lila is planning on between 50 and 60 tour dates this summer, so if you don't see a tour date near you yet, don't be upset!
